Olympics In A Nutshell

So I wasn't an avid fan of this year's Summer Olympics. But everyday when I caught the C train to get to work, I picked up the AM New York paper and everyday it was yet another issue on the fakeness and the scandals of the Olympics. So I don't really think the athletes themselves got the respect they truly deserved. And this is why I think Nike did this commercial:

So peep this, Rachael Ray is or in this case was, an endorser of Dunkin Donuts. Well she recently did an Ad for Dunkin Donuts and they pulled it. Why?, you may ask. Well because she was wearing a kaffiyeh aka a hipster scarf, around her neck during the ad. I mean wtf? and of course the news describes a kaffiyeh as "symbolic support for Muslim extremism and terrorism." Omfg! like if they haven't noticed everyone from Kanye West:to self proclaimed "Hipsters":to even Myself:
adorn a scarf like this or similar to it. Its so stupid. So what next? Are they gonna sue H&M for selling these scarves daily? Society is so hell-bent on other cultures. Even if that is what the scarf stands for I doubt Rachael Ray, Kanye West, and Myself have anything to do with terrorism. I mean so what if some Arabs wear the damn scarf, its not like they said that only terrorists wear it. Just because American Media mainstreamed the visuals of only terrorist leaders donning the scarf, now its not patriotic to wear them. Oh please, if it's that serious then why are there still thousands of people donning themselves in white robes and masks, but oh no! the media never covers that. I label this Rachael Ray Kaffiyeh Scandal...BullSh*t,BullSh*t,BullSh*t!

I Wanna Be, I Wanna Be, I Wanna Be like Spike!

So lately I've been thinking about what I want to be for next halloween. I know its a little early in the trick or treat'n game but when it comes to halloween i go all out. And I'm always looking to top last year's. However, Halloween 07 was a bit conformist for me. I did what every college girl does or did at least once, I went Hallo-Slut. Yea i went as a French Maid, and unlike the legit French I wasn't modest in the least...C fa yaself...





But anyway I've been thinking about Halloween 08 and at first I wanted to be the sexy femme version of the mad hatter, but that Wonderland Scene has been played out by every Becky, April and Heather on Campus. Then I was thinking I'd be Supermodel retired Angel Tyra Banks, but then again I don't want anyone but my current beau(oo so sexxy boo!) getting a peek at my undie garments. So after much research and debate with my cerebellum...I've decided to be Mars Blackmon, but im renaming myself Marsha Blackmon, cuz im always the female version, until I decide to be Grace Jones. Now for all of you "lames" who don't know who Mars Blackmon is, here's a brief summary(that i cut and pasted from Wikipedia...to save time)

In the film, he was an immature, annoying, "Brooklyn-loving", sports-loving, die-hard New York Knicks fan.
