My first post ever on this blog was about Heath Ledger's untimely death. So I figured that I would celebrate OJ Fresh's 115th post by dedicating it to who else but Heath Ledger. Okay so i normally try not to post what every other blogger posts, but I'm sorry but I have got to follow the trend on this one. THE DARK KNIGHT WAS AWESOME!!!! I mean Iron Man totally got sh*tted on! OD! Heath Ledger's performance set one of the highest standards of a comic book villian. Everytime Heath Ledger came on screen the crowd went psycho...I went psycho. I mean the way his body jerked like a psychopath and his walk was insane, and omg that voice...that voice was sick. I saw the movie twice, however the first time me and 2 of my co-workers pre-gamed each with a 40 oz. in hand and went to the 14th street regal drunk out of our minds. So I didn't quite remember much of the movie...except for all of the parts that the Joker came in. I mean he was that good that he erupted me out of my drunken self to remember every scene he was in. Not even Johnny Depp could do that! [and I ♥ me some J. Depp!] But I regained myself and saw the movie again on IMAX, which I have to say is something that everyone must do. So yea I actually teared up during some scenes, because I realized that we have lost such a talented actor. Heath Ledger better win an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy [ I know Grammys are only given for music, but Heath was that good that, yes, he deserves even a music award!!] So here's to you HEATH ![40 oz's in the air] You won't be missed...You are missed!

White Guy Fetish.

So I have this lil fetish..with white guys. I don't know what it is? It's just lately my fetish has developed stronger and stronger everytime im hanging around a white guy. I mean don't get me wrong I have all of the love in the world for my fellow brothas and latin lovers. I mean I know for a fact im gonna marry a brotha. Chocolate and caramel is my life, but every once in a while a sista needs some calcium, ya kno, some milk in they diet. And that's where my fetish comes in. And its not like im into the I wannabe black, white guys either. Im into the I live in a cul de sac and play beer pong, white guys. And from all of the ones that I have encountered during this Summer they seem to be noticing me as well. Now it could be because of my 42 inch ass or maybe because of my 36 DD's or perhaps even my 8 billion watt(all capped) smile. But hey, ive been gettin a couple winks and "How You Doooin's!" I think its because I just radiate towards all races. Whew! idk man, my girlfriends think its just a phase, my black guy friends think im just plain insane. But you know what I think? I just think that im paying more attention to these caucasian fellas because some of my chocolate and caramel men are starting to look pretty damn repetitive. I mean how many more times do I have to see the same pair of Jordans on multiple brothas. I mean Jeez wear some flip-flops sometime, or better yet rock some birkenstocks and crocs wit a Lacoste polo. Yea...that's a turn-on, a turn-on indeed. I mean maybe its just a summer phase, cuz white guys wit tans aka Channing Tatum, look pretty got damn! fine. Hey who knows? maybe Ill be over this fetish by winter, when they get all pasty again.

So lately I've been having this lil obsession over much older, brunette, shaggy beard, hipsters(lol sike nah) but ive been obsessing over much older, brown-haired, shaggy 5o'clock shadow having, white, bad boy celebs. I don't know what it is, could it be that they're so much more experienced. Like if I had to spend a nite with Robin Thicke or Robert Downey Jr. Im gonna go wit the Downey. Omg! I don't know what it is but ever since Iron Man, he's just been gettin hotter and hotter. It could be that crazy ass smile, or those psychotic killer eyes, or even those intriguing crows feet wrinkles, but then again it could be this heatwave but i think im in official obsession mode.

Ok so there has been all this focus lately on emos lately, and I thought it was the right time to highlight one of America's Original Emos, Charlie Brown. It didn't don on me until today that Charlie Brown is the 2nd most known emo in the world ( Edgar Alan Poe of course took the top gun position). I mean think about it; Charlie Brown's nickname,Chuck, is as Emo as can be. He only had about 2 friends,a schizophrenic dog that was way cooler than him, and a blanket toting paranoid boy. In every comic strip or movie, Charlie Brown goes into some 10 minute emotional monologue about how he always screws up. And lastly, he got psychiatric help from some black haired girl with a grudge . Now if that taint the most emo-est scenario ever, I don't know what is. Just Let Your Soooul Glo!

Ok so I've been waiting to write this blog for weeks now, so finally here it goes. So the latest trend in hair is to roc hairstyles that reflect the culture of the 1980's through the early 90's. So I've seen a couple of brothers bringing back the High Top Fade, the Gumby. And I've def noticed some of the ladies,including myself, bringing back the Asymetrical Cut. But I've noticed one infamous hip hop hairstyle missing. I mean it still hasn't come back yet, and not that I think it needs to, I just want to see the guy (or girl) who has the balls to try it. That's right I'm talkin about the Jheri Curl! That greasy, moist, curly mess of life that was the most noted icon of the 80s. I mean, Michael Rocked It, Eazy-E Rocked it and that lil light skinned boy from "Family Matters" Rocked it. Maybe nobody has brought the Jheri Curl back because it requires the use of many aeresol spray cans to maintain it, and I guess with Global Warming and what not that would be endangering the planet even more, or whatever. So please please please if there is a Jheri Curl sighting, I need pics and lots of em! even if it's one person rockin it to a party. So be on the lookout!

Scarlet is for Harlots!

So I don't know if Im just going through a simple phase or not?...but lately ive been quenching 40 ounces, platform stilettos,bright colored eyeshadow and just recently ive become a very unpredicted new groupie of Queen. Its like the inner tammy faye/cyndi lauper/stripper/streetwalker is coming out of me slowly but surely. It first started with alize, 2 inch kitten heels, simple earth tone eyeshadows and when I was a devoted Slick Rick Groupie. Now I don't know wats gotten into me. I mean im even wearing scarlet red lipstick for goodness sake! and I kno i wore red lipstick before anyway, but that was fire engine red, Scarlet lipstick is for harlots. Im scared Im praying with all my might that I don't start wearing feather boas and false eyelashes. OMGoodness, I'd be knocking the look off from a vegas showgirl. Huh? come to think of it those little pink pasties are pretty stellar fresh... see it's happening again, help me I need to get back to my original self. lol But damn it those Jessica Simpson profession shoes are feeling better and better everytime i wear them.

Next Stop...The Grammy's!

Ok! so jus got the exciting news from my Myspace Bulletins from the Kid herself! Kid Sister has been nominated for a BET Award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist! This news was so stellar fresh, Like I screamed and clapped my hands like I was the one who was nominated. But Im so happy for her, its about damn time a woman who doesn't mention her goodies, or flaunts her ass(ests) on album covers, is finally nominated. Good Luck BET, i haven't given up on you yet. And of course Kid Sister (Melisa Young) was estatic; " I just found out I've been nominated for a BET Award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist!!!!?? DAAAAAAAG!!!!!!!!!...I jumped on my couch and did the craziest pee pee/victory dance ever done. Can you believe it!? Me, Melisa Young, girl who was working at a baby store less than a year ago!!...MAN. This is toooooo loco! I'm really in a state of shock." That pretty much summed it all up for all of her fans! Congrats Kid, next year we takin it all the way to the Grammy's Mama!

I'm kinda really diggin these guys this moment. They're my new boy band obsession(im kinda over Day 26). I was doing my usual daily laundry sorting(I have tons of hidden clothes) and I had the channel tuned to MTV Jams and I heard this cute lil ballad, and I didn't look up until the video was 2 minutes in. Surprise,Surprise the image of an all minority boy band totally disingrated, and my eyes were fixated on four emo style inspired all-american white boys! I was like Whoa! homies got vocals. and they don't look to bad. They kind of are like the Jonas Brothers minus the Disney safe lyrics, and the pre-pubescent voices. They got this one song called "He Said,She Said(Time We Let Go)" a song about well...um..letting go duh! Timbaland puts his lil touch on the track and my new obsession "Karma" a song about getting back at a bitch who break their lil hearts..aww. but yea they're stellar fresh. Imma def keep a look out for them.
